The Security office has implemented a workaround that will allow web sites hosted on external DNS servers to work.
We are still investigating a permanent solution.
A recent change to routing on the campus firewall to accommodate the h.323 workaround removed the ability to hairpin nat on the firewall. A hairpin NAT is a connection from the internal network to a public facing server. This has caused issues with UWguest wireless access to our public web servers, and has caused problems with incorrectly configured domains.
UWGuest wireless networks now have access to public UW resources.
