Problem:

Banner Scheduled Maintenance

Systems Involved:

Admin Systems

Details:

Oracle Patching on the Banner Student System will start at 02:30, Thursday August 4th.

Work should be completed by 04:30.

The system should be available again once work is complete.

Oracle security pataching is done on BNRDB-PROD & BNRODS-PROD. Systems and applications are online & available.

8/4/2016 3:47:25 AM:
The machine BNRDB-PROD is having problems this morning and the Systems team is looking into the issues. Basic problem is that the database is unable to start-up. We are going to cycle the machine to see if that solves the problems. Banner systems WILL NOT be back online by 04:30.

Problem Resolution: 

Cycling the machine seems to have solved the problems.

Medium -- (affects a substantial portion of campus and/or applications used by them) – Updated every 2 hours

Low -- (affects or minimal portion of campus and/or has minimal impact on applications used on campus) – Updated every 4 hours

None -- (minimal to no urgency associated with resolving the incident/event) – Will update when resolved.
