A service has been restarted and access appears to be restored. We will update the open case on this issue with EMC.
Received reports that students are unable to log into lab nodes. Verified the problem in IT 101, the UWStudent Remote lab and development computers. When a student goes to login it freezes at the "Please wait for the User Profile Service". Verified access to warehouse, uwapps and student storage are also impacted on computers not on the lab system. Try to access with a UNC path or mapped drive and no response is received.
EMC is still troubleshooting. We have a workaround to restore service in the event of another failure.
