The latest version of Java 7 (update 51) that Oracle released this week is not compatible with the SSL VPN network connect client. The IT Security Office will be upgrading the SSL VPN on Sunday, January 19th, to resolve this issue. Users should refrain from upgrading Java until next Monday, January 20th.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel will upgrade the VPN service on Sunday, January 19th.
