Who is affected?

Users attempting to access UW's Office 365 email accounts with Outlook clients.

At approximately 8:30 am this morning, Wednesday, September 11tth, IT was aware of problems with Office 365 email access via Outlook. Outlook Web Access online is not affect, and it is recommended that users access their email through OWA until the problem is corrected.

This appears not to be a local UW problem. There are reports coming in to the Office365 forums from Ohio, Minnesota, West Virginia, Virginia and other places about users having the same problem.

Problem resolution:

As of approximately 9:30 am, Wednesday, September 11th, Microsoft was reporting that the Office 365 system was "healthy" and that no problems had actually occurred.
