Users attempting to access the UW computer network from locations in the east campus.

More details:

At approximately 3:00 pm today, Monday, August 12th, the east campus computer network experienced a widespread failure due to a failed network hardware component.

Problem resolution:

Network service was restored shortly after the problem occurred.
