At approximately 10:00 am this morning, Friday, March 9th, IT was aware of problems with the UW Cascade CMS. Users may see the error message below when attempting to save pages. This appears to be an intermittent problem and does not occur in all cases.

An error occurred during editing: Hibernate operation: Could not execute JDBC batch update; uncategorized SQLException for SQL [insert into cascade.cxml_structureddata (name, blockId, fileId, pageId, symlinkId, textData, structuredDataId, groupStructuredDataId, ownerPageId, structuredDataType, assetType, textVersion, id) values (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)]; SQL state [72000]; error code [1691]; ORA-01691: unable to extend lob segment CASCADE.SYS_LOB0000046382C00005$$ by 8192 in tablespace CASCADE ; nested exception is java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-01691: unable to extend lob segment CASCADE.SYS_LOB0000046382C00005$$ by 8192 in tablespace CASCADE

Problem resolution:

IT personnel corrected the problem and restored normal service by 11:24 am, Friday, March 9th.
