Who is affected?

Users attempting to access external sites using FTP.

At approximately 10:45 am on Tuesday, January 10th, IT was aware of problems with FTP data access to external sites due to a newly installed campus firewall. Users will be able to connect to an FTP site but will be unable to transfer data.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel are investigating the problem. No estimated time for correction of the problem is currently available.
