Who is affected?

Users of various UW network-delivered computer systems and services.

At approximately 3:30 pm today, Friday, November 18th, IT was aware of problems with networking for UCS blade servers. Several computer systems and services have been affected. Exchange email was not affected, or only briefly affected, for most users.

Problem resolution:

Affected systems were determined to be stable as of 4:23 pm, Friday, November 18th. Most of the affected systems remained available during, or were restored to availability shortly after, the network hardware failure due to redundancy, resulting in minimal impact to users.
