Who is affected?

Users attempting to connect to the UW wireless network using the UWGuest account from many locations on campus.

More details:

At approximately 11:00 am this morning, Wednesday, August 31st, IT was aware of problems with connections to the UWGuest wireless account on campus.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel corrected the problem and restored normal service by 11:30 am, Friday, September 2nd.

Note: UW employees and students can use UWyo or UWresnet secure wireless connections to avoid problems with the UWGuest account.
