Users accidentally browsing to a phishing site at http://mywyoweb.net.

Mid-afternoon on Monday, August 8th, IT was aware of a phishing site at http://mywyoweb.net that was spoofing the UW WyoWeb portal site in an apparent attempt to capture the UWYO domain usernames and passwords of UW users.

The official WyoWeb portal is located at https://wyoweb.uwyo.edu. Only this address, or links from the UW main website, should be used to access WyoWeb. If you have entered any information into the unauthorized site or if you have questions or concerns, please contact the IT Help Desk at 766-HELP (4357), option 1, or email userhelp@uwyo.edu.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel took action to block the site from the UW network on Monday, August 8th.
