Internet-Native Banner System Problems

Who is affected?

Internet-Native Banner (INB) users.

More details:

Following an Internet-Native Banner (INB)/WebLogic upgrade this past weekend IT has become aware of three separate probems for users. 

  1. Data entry personal are experiencing general slowness and occasional kick outs.
  2. Some users navigating to INB from WyoWeb have reported arriving at the Banner log-on screen instead of the single sign-on screen. This is especially true for users of Safari on Macs. Some Firefox users have also experienced this problem. In the meantime the Users have two options.  When they receive the Username and Login prompts just enter their credentials again.  (Same user name and password as WyoWeb).  Or go directly to INB at https://fortrussell.uwyo.edu:4443/
  3. A small number of users have reported getting a digital certificate warning.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel are investigating the problems and working with the software vendor to resolve the problems.

In the meantime, users have two log-on options: 

  1. Simply re-enter Username and Login credentials.  (Same user name and password as WyoWeb). 
  2. Go directly to INB at https://fortrussell.uwyo.edu:4443/
