Users receiving email with the subject: Helpdesk: Migrate Account Migration to Microsoft Exchange 2011 Immediately

Early this afternoon, Friday, June 24th, IT was aware of users receiving an email message with the subject: Helpdesk:  Migrate Account Migration to Microsoft Exchange 2011 Immediately.

The message is not related to the IT upgrade of the UW email system to Exchange 2010 this weekend, and UW users should disregard the instructions contained in the body of the message.

Problem resolution:

Legitimate online businesses and institutions do not request personal information via email. If you get an email asking for personal information or asking for user action, such as clicking on a link in the email body, IT recommends that you take no action requested in the email and report the incident to the IT Help Desk.
