Mid-afternoon today, Tuesday, April 12th, IT was aware of problems with Internet connection speeds from the UW network. The problem was determined to be the result of a break in the BiSON (Bi-State Optical Network) fiber cable.

Problem resolution:

Informed sources estimate repairs will be completed by approximately 7:00 pm this evening, Tuesday, April 12th.
