IMAP Email Problems

Who is affected?
Users with IMAP clients pointed to ponyexpress-ca2 rather than to uwmail.uwyo.edu.
More details:
As of Monday morning, April 4th, IT had received reports of users having problems with their IMAP email if it was pointed to ponyexpress-ca2 rather than uwmail.uwyo.edu.
Problem resolution:
IT personnel corrected the problem and restored normal service by 12:13 pm, Monday, April 4th.
Note: According to official documentation, end user IMAP clients should always point to uwmail.uwyo.edu so that they are load balanced between multiple servers in the event of problems. This will be especially important when future upgrades to Exchange are implemented.
