Who is affected?

Users attempting to log into UW Outreach School websites.

More details:

In an attempt to clean up the UWOS Domain to allow automated rollout of the new Forefront Antivirus clients IT personnel shut down one of two problematic UWOS Domain Controllers. Computers *should have* failed over to the backup controller but there were other problems with the UWOS Domain that prevented connection to the good, working controller. This caused problems with some machines logging on yesterday afternoon and this morning, Friday, March 4ht, until about 10:15 am.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel returned the system to normal operation by approximately 10:15 am this morning, Friday, March 4th and users should once again be able to log in without problems.
