Who is affected?

Users attempting to access websites located on the WWW webserver.

At approximately 11:15 am, Wednesday, December 1st, IT was aware of problems affecting the availability of the UW WWW webserver which hosts the main UW website.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel are working to resolve the problem. As of approximately 2:00 am this morning, Thursday, December 2nd, IT had restored the main UW institutional website, but individual sites located on the WWW webserver are still affected. Every effort is being made to completely restore affected websites. No estimated time for correction of these problems is currently available.

Updated 12/2, 11:55 AM:
IT continues to bring sites on www.uwyo.edu back online as quickly as possible. Approximately 85% of affected sites are up and working properly and the remaining 15% should be back online in the next 2 hours. If you are getting a login prompt on a site that should be publically accessible please just hit the CANCEL button and wait, the site will come back online as soon as IT personnel can get to it.
