UW Antivirus Server Problems: New Officescan Installations Temporarily Unavailable

Who is affected?
Users of UW's Officescan antivirus software.

At approximately 11:20 am this morning, Wednesday, February 25th, IT was aware of problems with UW's antivirus server. As a result of the problems, individual users may notice that the Officescan icon in their system tray shows a broken line, indicating a disconnected status. In this case, however, antivirus protection is still functional.
Problem resolution:
IT has resolved this problem and service has been restored. New installations are available again.

As of 12:25 pm the antivirus server may be offline to correct problems. As a result, new installations of Officscan will be unavailable.
