OfficeScan Scheduled Scan Problems: User Intervention Recommended

Who is affected?

Users of UW's OfficeScan antivirus software.

More details:

OfficeScan clients (on UW network computers) are not properly reporting their completed scheduled scan times to the server. This has caused OfficeScan clients to run local scans during the day even though the computer was scanned the night before.

Problem resolution:

IT is working to correct the problem. In the meantime, the workaround is to perform an “Update Now” to reset scheduled scan settings. Right-click the OfficeScan icon in the System Tray beside your clock, click Update Now, and then click the Update Now button.
