Who is affected?

UW webmasters installing custom search code using the UW Google Search Appliance.

More details:

UW has recently upgraded the UW Google Search Appliance.

There are two special cases that have been affected by the upgrade:

1.    Restricting searches to a specific UW website or domain
2.    Specifying a search across multiple UW websites

Problem resolution:

You can find information explaining how to revise your embedded search code in the Ask IT UW Google Search Engine FAQ under "How do I setup a search on my site to search only information I choose?"

All UW site managers will be notified of these changes by email.
