Link Changes for WyoRecords and and Banner

Who is affected?

Anyone who has created links outside of WyoWeb to WyoRecords (also sometimes known as Self-Service Banner or SSB) or to Internet Native Banner (INB). Also, anyone who has personal bookmarks to these sites. Have they been notified? There is no method for identifying every possible person who this applies to. However, email has been sent to the core Student Information Services (SIS) clients about this event. This should cover the majority if the impacted individuals.

Details:

If the outage or work is being performed outside of systems time, why? The work will start after the SIS backups have completed in case there is a need to restore. Details: On Sunday morning, March 1, 2015, maintenance will be performed on the Banner Student Information System (SIS). Upon completion of this maintenance all of the current links to WyoRecords (also sometimes known as Self-Service Banner or SSB) and links to Internet Native Banner (INB) will no longer work. As part of this maintenance we will change the existing links on the WyoWeb page. So, anyone who uses the WyoWeb page to access WyoRecords or INB will not notice any difference from before the maintenance. However, the owner of any other web pages that have links to WyoRecords or INB will have to change their own links. This also applies to anyone who has bookmarks to these sites. Here is the information that you will need to do this: � Find any links that are in this form o https://bnrssomgr.uwyo.edu/bnrprod_ssomanager/... � Change the link to this form o https://bnrssomgr.uwyo.edu/ssomanager/... For example, https://bnrssomgr.uwyo.edu/bnrprod_ssomanager/c/SSB will need to be https://bnrssomgr.uwyo.edu/ssomanager/c/SSB. So, the old links will still work until the systems are taken down in the very early hours of the morning on Sunday. Then, when this maintenance is complete, between 9:00 and 10:00 on Sunday morning, the new links will work. Unfortunately, there will not be any overlap when the new and old links will work at the same time.

Problem Resolution: 

The maintenance on the Student Information System is complete and everything is available. The links to WyoRecords and INB have been corrected on WyoWeb. Anyone who has links to WyoRecords and/or INB outside of WyoWeb will still need to correct them if they have not already done so.

Priority Levels:

High -- (affects a majority of campus and/or applications used by a majority of campus) – updated hourly

Medium -- (affects a substantial portion of campus and/or applications used by them) – Updated every 2 hours

Low -- (affects or minimal portion of campus and/or has minimal impact on applications used on campus) – Updated every 4 hours

None -- (minimal to no urgency associated with resolving the incident/event) – Will update when resolved.
