Up-to-Date System Information:

Outlook Web App Light Errors

posted 7/11/2018 8:54:32 AM

Who is affected?

Users using the light accessible version of Outlook Web App.

Problem:

Outlook Web App Light Errors

Systems Involved:

Office 365

Details:

User Impact: Users may be intermittently unable to access the light version of Outlook on the web. More info: Users that are able to access the light version of Outlook on the web may intermittently experience errors opening email messages. A temporary workaround is available by adding "append &a=Open&s=Draft" to the end of the URL when users see the bad request page. The message will open in draft mode. Additionally, users can switch their interface to the full version of Outlook on the web. Current status: We've developed and validated a fix for the impacting code update. The first portion of the fix has begun deployment and we anticipate that the remaining portion will be applied by July 16, 2018. We expect full resolution by Friday, July 20, 2018, when the fixed code saturates across the affected environment. Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user of the light version of Outlook on the web.

Updates:

7/16/2018 12:31:46 PM:
Current status: Our fix has reached the majority of the affected users; however, we've determined that the deployment was causing some peripheral impact to service availability. We've temporarily halted the deployment to apply a configuration update, and we'll resume the deployment once that update has been completed.
