Up-to-Date System Information: migration to new storage

Who is affected?

Users attempting to access student storage and roaming profiles on lab computers.

Problem: migration to new storage

Systems Involved:



Over systems time on August 13th, will be migrated to a new storage device. This will require an interruption of service for approximately one hour while a final copy from the old storage to the new storage device is made. While the final copy is being made, storage and profiles may be available, but will be read only until the copy is complete.

Problem Resolution: 

Migration complete. Student storage and profiles are now being hosted from a new storage cluster.

Information Technology apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please contact your departmental consultant, call the Help Desk at 766-HELP (4357), option 1, or send an email to the Help Desk ( if you have any questions.


Priority Levels:

High -- (affects a majority of campus and/or applications used by a majority of campus) – updated hourly

Medium -- (affects a substantial portion of campus and/or applications used by them) – Updated every 2 hours

Low -- (affects or minimal portion of campus and/or has minimal impact on applications used on campus) – Updated every 4 hours

None -- (minimal to no urgency associated with resolving the incident/event) – Will update when resolved.
