Problem:

Office 365 Spam Filtering

Systems Involved:

Office 365

Details:

We are receiving reports that the Office 365 Spam filtering is aggressively marking email as spam that should not be and filtering it to users Junk Email folders.

Updates:

5/21/2015 3:08:43 PM:
The workaround we put in place has prevented mail from being moved to the Junk Email folder, but the underlying issue has not been resolved. We are working with Microsoft to come up with a long term fix.

5/21/2015 12:25:17 PM:
Updated 5/21/2015 - We have adjusted the Bulk Email Spam Filter setting for Office 365 to be less aggressive. We are monitoring to determine if the change has alleviated the problem.

Problem Resolution:

Microsoft has removed our internal mail servers from the Bulk Sender list for Office 365 and has whitelisted them to prevent them from being added again in the future.
