On Tuesday, July 31st, Information Technology will update the auto-populated departmental domain security groups to help increase functionality and security. The end result will be two security groups for each HR recognized department. One group will contain all benefitted employees and the other group will contain all non-benefitted employees.

If you have been using these security groups and you want to retain non-benefitted access to resources you have set permissions on you will need to manually add the non-benefitted security group access to the resource before the 31st. The auto-populated groups can be found on the UWYO Domain at: Windows.uwyo.edu/AdminGROUPS/Department Security Groups (access requires the use of MS Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in).

The naming convention for the non-benefitted group is DEPT_NB_[DepartmentName].
