Beginning Friday evening, June 24th, and continuing through Sunday, June 26th, your UW email account may be unavailable for a period of time due to the Information Technology upgrade of email servers to Microsoft Exchange 2010. The upgrade will be completed by Monday, June 27th at 7:30 AM. If you experience difficulties accessing your email during that time, please keep trying throughout the weekend. If you are still having problems on Monday morning, June 27th, contact the IT Help Desk at 766-4357, option 1.

For more information see the IT to Upgrade Email to Exchange 2010 on June 24-26 news release.

Updated 6/27, 12:00 pm:

All mailboxes have been migrated and the process is complete.

Updated 6/27, 7:30 am:
The migration process is ongoing, but will take several more hours to complete. Students that have not yet been migrated will have a difficult time accessing email via Outlook Web App (OWA), IMAP or ActiveSync. Students trying to log into OWA will receive the following error “A server configuration change is temporarily preventing access to your account. Please close all Internet Explorer windows and try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.”

Information Technology apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please contact your departmental consultant, call the Help Desk at 766-HELP (4357), option 1, or send an email to the Help Desk (userhelp@uwyo.edu) if you have any questions.
