Scheduled System Upgrades, 1/13: New Certificate Installation Will Impact Wireless Users

At 7:00 am on Thursday, January 13th, IT will install a new certificate for the UW wireless network. At that point UW wireless users will see a (one-time) pop-up window asking them for approval to use the new root certificate (GlobalSign) when they attempt to log onto the wireless network. Users will experience different screen prompts depending on what wireless device(s) they use, but in general most users should click “ok”, “continue”, “connect”, or similar prompts to confirm and accept the new certificate.
