Who is affected?

Users attempting to access the UW computer network from locations in the Biological Sciences building, including the Library Annex.

More details:

At approximately 10:30 am this morning, Monday, October 20th, IT had received calls from users reporting network problems affecting the Biological Sciences building.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel corrected the problem and restored normal service by 11:22 am, Monday, October 20th. A rogue DHCP server was discovered and disabled in the Biological Sciences building.

Note: users may need to release/renew the offending DHCP IP address before they can access the UW network.
