Who is affected?

Users attempting to access the UW computer network and the Internet using UW VPN, DSL or dial-up connections.

At approximately 8:00 am this morning, Monday, June 8th, IT was aware of problems with user authentication into UW VPN, DSL, and dial-up network services. Authentication problems appear to be random and may not affect all users.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel installed server software upgrades at approximately 8 pm, Monday, June 8th. The upgrades were expected to correct the problem.
