Who is affected?

Users attempting to access the UW network and the Internet from locations in the Bison Run apartments.

At approximately 9:00 am this morning, Monday, August 27th, IT was aware of problems with network hardware which was affecting the availability of network connections in some Bison Run apartments.

Problem resolution:

UW electricians corrected the problem with power delivery and normal service was restored by 4:00 pm, Tuesday, August 28th.

Updated 8/27 3:25 pm:

The cause of the problem has been identified as a bad circuit breaker which is part of the electrical system at Bison Run. Computer network equipment has been shut down to prevent damage. This includes all wired and wireless connections in Bison Run building 7, apartments 31-37.
