Users installing recent Microsoft Updates on computers running Windows XP.

More details:

IT is aware that there is a security update to .Net Framework 2.0 SP2(KB2656369) recently released through WSUS that has caused a looping re-installation problem on Windows XP computers. There is a known bug with the update that causes the patch to not be correctly detected as “Installed” after updates are applied, resulting in the patch requesting to be installed again.

Problem resolution:

After the patch has successfully installed, the subsequent update requests can be ignored, or look under "Known Issues" at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976982 for more information.
