Who is affected?

Users who dial into a UW H.323 video conferencing endpoint from off-campus.

As of Friday, January 27th, IT was aware that under certain conditions, users dialing into a UW H.323 endpoint from off-campus might not receive video, audio, or both. Calls originating from on-campus are not affected.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel are investigating the problem. A problem with the UW firewall has been identified and referred to the vendor for possible solutions. No estimated time for correction of the problem is currently available.
