Who is affected?

Users attempting to access websites located on UW's WWW webserver.

More details:

The main WWW sites were down with the error “SERVICES UNAVAILABLE” again this noon, Friday, December 3rd, from approximately 12:00 pm until12:15 pm. This was due to a known bug with a web service component.

Problem resolution:

IT personnel obtained and applied a fix for the problem and after a server reboot the WWW webserver was returned to service at approximately 12:15 pm.
