Internet Access Problems

Who is affected?

Users attempting to access the Internet from computers on the UW network.

More details:

At approximately 3:30 pm today, Wednesday, February 10th, IT was aware of problems with connections to some Internet locations. UW websites and State of Wyoming websites appeared to be unaffected.

Problem resolution:

The problem was confirmed as a Front Range Gigapop equipment problem caused by a power failure in downtown Denver. All FRGP locations were affected (UW, CSU, CU, DU, UNC, NCAR, etc.). Normal service was restored by 4:50 pm, Wednesday, February 10th.
