Who is affected?

Users attempting to access UW websites located on the WWW web server.

More details:

At approximately 2:10 pm this afternoon, Thursday, November 19th, the web server hosting WWW sites suffered a brief service interruption.

Problem resolution:

The server auto-recovered and normal service was restored within 3 minutes of the initial service interruption. IT personnel identified antivirus scanning as the cause of the problem.
