Users attempting to access sites requiring HTTPS secure connections located on the UWadmnweb Web server using the Firefox browser.

As of Monday afternoon, February 9th, there were problems with access to HTTPS secure sites located on the UWADMNWEB server using the FireFox browser. Users may have received the following error message:

Secure Connection Failed
Uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

 

Problem resolution:

IT personnel corrected the problem as of 9:10 am on Tuesday, February 10th.
