UWyo Wireless Issue with Windows 8 Mobile Devices

Who is affected?
Users with Windows 8 Mobile Devices (Microsoft Surface Pro tablets, Windows Phone, etc) may have difficulty with connecting to UWyo Wireless. This report is for notification purposes only, the machines may work, but we have seen instances where the connection fails.
More details:
UWIT has seen devices has issues with connecting to the UWyo wireless network on some machines. It does not seem to happen on all Windows 8 devices, but please contact the UWIT Help Desk is you have an issue connecting and we will see if we can get the device to work. UWIT is working on finding resolution to the issue.
Problem resolution:
IT personnel are investigating the problem. No estimated time for correction of the problem is currently available.
